Contrary to popular belief Public Health does not have to have the authority  to enforce on recommendations to fix water damage to be effective.  Boulder County Public Health has been doing co-inspections with building departments for more than 9 years.  In fact Building Departments are hungry for a health partner who can demystify mold health effects and perform co-inspections .  Other  areas they are interested in partnering are Asbestos, Lead, Methamphetamine Affected Properties and Hoarding.
